Blogger Bites

I have been trying for two days to post some new pictures, but blogger is not co-operating!
Elvis continues to grow, he weighed in at 6 lbs last week when we went to the vet for his rabies shot.
I observed him doing an interesting thing the other night. I kept noticing that his rawhide chew sticks were hidden near the baseboards all around the living room. Then I saw him sniffing in back of the TV, near the wall. He had hidden a piece of one of his doggie treats! I started watching him, and sure enough, he went back later and had a snack! I found another piece hidden in the entry hall behind the umbrella stand Smart puppy!

Hot on the Trail

We took a walk in the woods in back of the house. There were deer tracks in the open area by the ravine. It didn't take Elvis long to pick up the scent. He ventured down to the edge of the pond and stuck his nose in the water. He would have gone in if I hadn't held him back.

Chillin' with Dad

Ahhh, What a life!

Hey! I'm Not A Girl!

This wasn't my idea! My Mom thought it would be cute to wrap me in pink lace...to show my feminine side, I guess!

Back to the Vet

Elvis went to the Vet. this morning to get another vaccination. He must have sensed that he was about to get stuck because he whined while we were waiting for Dr. Clara to come into the exam room. He has really grown since his last visit, gaining almost 2 lbs. He now weighs 5 lbs 13 oz.
He gets a little listless after he's had a shot, so he has been napping most of the day. He is such a baby, he wants me sitting with him as he naps. Each time I try to sneak away, those little eyes pop open and follow me. He's on my lap as I write this because he won't let me out of his sight!
I'm going to try and put him in his kennel. I've got things to do!

An Ode to Elvis

God Can Use a Puppy

I felt a kinship right away to this tiny speckled pup.

I knew he was a precious gift the moment our eyes met.

This warm and cuddly, soft and sweet mischievous little boy

Snuggled right up to me and gazed into my soul.

He made an aching, hurting heart overflow with joy.

He made the sadness melt away, a smile lit up my face.

Now I know, why from the start,

I had to make him mine.

Yes, God can use a puppy to heal a wounded heart.

He’s like a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day.

I love my little Elvis, he makes my joy complete.

He makes me laugh while we run and play,

And gives me kisses sweet!

Can I Have a Bite?

Hey Pop, whatcha eatin'? I know I'm not supposed to have people food, but that sure looks good. Can I lick the bowl huh, huh...can I? Promise, I won't tell Mom.
Mmmmm Blue Bell Homemade Vanilla!
Pop is such a pushover!

Me and my Teddy

Poor little guy was tired from playing so hard. He crawled into my lap with his favorite teddy bear and went to sleep. Precious!
